Georgia On My Mind (Incomplete) 6/25--UPDATE

Just a warning:

This isn't going to be a smutful story, so if that's what you're looking for...move along (sings All American Rejects, "move along, move along, like i knew you would...").

The language...yeah, there's strong language (particularly of one word) but it has a purpose and a point and I do not condone the use of the word AT all.

OK, with all that said, here goes:

Meet Georgia, a part time “plus size” model, actress and occasional singer adopted by her grandmother and grandfather when her parents both died in a tragic car accident. She’s in Atlanta Georgia shooting a movie with none other than Robert Pattinson. The movie is directed by Spike Lee, the genius behind such great films Do the Right Thing, School Daze, and Mo Betta Blues is and is centered around the trials and tribulations of interracial dating in the South during the 1960s.

Rob jumps at the chance of playing David without hesitation “Because,” Rob stated, “I honestly have no idea what it’s like to be judge simply by the color of my skin. I’ve been lucky that way, I guess, that makes my life too comfortable. If I have the chance to put myself in someone else’s shoes, get a small taste of the hardship someone else has to/had to face, I will, and I think this film will allow me to do that.”

So here they are, in Atlanta Georgia working on the film. In between shoots, the two hang out, getting to know each other more. There’s still the “little issue” of Rob’s love life, but while things seem to look one way, things tend to prove to be vastly different when he’s around Georgia.

Rob POV

“N***ER LOVER!” someone from the crowd shouted as the couple dodged a flying object, walking into the local diner.

Holding Carla’s hand, David walks with her through the restaurant to find a table.

“Here OK?” he asks looking at the booth in the back in the ‘Colored Only Section.’
“Yeah, fine.” She tried to force a smile as they both sat down.

Thumbing through the menu, they decide on what they want to eat and waited for a waitress.

15 minutes passed.

20 minutes…

30 minutes…

“David, let’s just leave.” Carla said, grabbing her purse and cardigan.
“No, we’re hungry. We’ll wait. I’ll get someone. Hold on.”

Standing up, he walks over to the counter hoping to get someone’s attention.

“Excuse me…” he said loudly, yet polite.

“Excuse me.” he repeated.

“Sir, if you want to be helped you need go to the whites counter.” The cooked looked at him sternly.
“I don’t mind who takes my order. My girlfriend and I are just hungry and were wondering if someone could take our order.”
“Your girlfriend? That pretty negro girl over there is your girlfriend?” he laughed at David.
“Yes…sir?” He responded, confused by the laughter.

Taking a deep breath the cook promises to have someone over his table to help him.
David walked back, sitting down looking at Carla, who was beyond frustrated.

“Someone’s coming, it’s just a slow day.” He smiled, trying to calm her down. He already knew she was mad and wanted to do whatever it took to calm her down.

“Really? It’s just a slow day? David, count how many people are in the restaurant. Go ahead. It’s not slow. No one wants to serve us.”
“Why? That’s crazy.” He knew why, he just didn’t want to be right about it.

“You’re white, I’m black. We’re dating and that’s unacceptable. You’re supposed to stick with your people and I’m supposed to stick with mine. You’re a n***er lover for wanting to be with me and I’m a sell out n***er hater for being with you. That’s why they don’t want to serve us.”

I will post more, but this story isn't going to be epically long like the others. it was intended to be a one shot buuuut no.

And of course I had to be blunt. I don't want stupid ppl commenting about "ohhh they should DO it!" because, well, there's more to Rob then just sex (I mean, he's SEXY as hell, but yeah...) There's depth to the boy and it's time for people to bring that out.

one, I'm sorry about your dad (serious face). I hate racisim SO much, espeicially with dating. I just don't get it.

And because I tend to date outside my race, i get so much crap from black guys about why i do so, but they don't want to date me anyway because I'm not "black" enough (inform me about what that means anyway).
