Isn't Everything is Illuminated sheer genius? I love it so much. However, the first chapter of the book makes me think about the movie and I can't help but laugh so hard.

I love how there are three stories going on at once.....the story about the great great great great great grandmother...the letters after the journey and the journy for augustine

I just finished reading "Twenties Girl" by Sophie Kinsella. Definitely one of her better books, even though the main character, at times, is as delusional as all of her other main characters, the ending was really touching. Made me want to cry ... :(

And now ... I can start on my journey through "Twilight" again ... gotta get ready for "New Moon"!

WAAAAHHH THE ELEGANCE OF THE HEDGEHOG IS FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's quite possibly my new favourite book. An always within a never. I'll never forget it. I think everyone should read it regardless of age, race, gender, etc. I'd recommend it to a corpse, I believe in it so much. XD

Right now I'm reading Money by Martin Amis. My dad's really into Amis, and Rob likes it, too. I know the narrator is supposed to be British, but for some reason I keep reading it in this intense Chicago accent, which occasionally cracks me up.... XD

Currently reading Lolita by Nabokov. Not for the faint of heart, but totally for those who fall in love with language. If Nabokov were still alive, I would marry him - his language is so so so so so so so beautiful!!

Next I'm going to read Water for Elephants. Rob's in talks for the movie, in the rare case you didn't know. :P

Also saw The Curse of the Good Girl in my local bookstore, I want to buy it. I read the first couple chapters and it was really interesting. Definitely a good book for anyone who has a daughter.

Feminist lit: Female Chauvinist Pigs by Ariel Levy. I can only read it in small portions, though, because it makes me really angry. :P

Oh and my best friend is reading this book called The Accidental Billionaires, about the guys who founded Facebook. It sounds SO DAMN COOL. They were just a couple Ivy League guys who were really bad in dealing with girls, so they made Facebook. Ironically, the website they created to bring people together ended up tearing these two best friends apart.

Finally - I know I'm making an epic ballad of this - I read in the Details interview that Rob had read Eat the Rich by P.J. O'Rourke. I was really excited because I read it last summer for my Econ class! It's definitely for people interested in economics, but O'Rourke makes (or tries to make) it fun and funny. It's really informative and thought-provoking. My dad enjoyed it.

For books, I do recommend the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. The series is now a TV series called True Blood thats on HBO which I also do recommend for TV as well. The first book is Dead until Dark.

I also finished reading Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. I really did like it and it leave some twists and turns on how it was back in the day. I would say more but I dont want to ruin it for those who havent read it yet!

Yay! I'm about halfway through WFE now. For those who are into history or just love a good laugh, the book Vive la Revolution! by British comedian Mark Steel is informative and absolutely hilarious. You will never think of the French Revolution the same way again. He also looks at it from a very British perspective, commenting on the monarchy and occasionally comparing/contrasting England and France. Plus, the characters and events of the revolution are just a riot in themselves. Did you know they had philosophical porn?

If you like books with a ton of emotion in them, I recommend The Walk by Richard Paul Evans (author of The Christmas Box ). I finished reading it a while ago and the beginning was so sad, but I loved the story very much! It's the first book in a series, and there are probably four to five more coming, so if you love The Walk , another book will be released sometime in 2011.

Richard Paul Evans is really one of those types that knows how to pull at the heartstrings. I just about cried at the beginning and almost several moments.
