1. How did you get into fan fiction? Why Robert Pattinson fan fiction?

I stumbled into it. It was when watching Remember Me that I had a sudden fascination with Robert Pattinson. I loved his mannerisms and his unique physical appearance. Soon after that, he was always the epitome of the male lead characters I tried writing.

2. What made you decide to start writing fan fiction?

It was when I was very younger, twelve. I read a lot of books but, only a few of them I actually grew a bond with the male lead. After a friend suggested fan fiction, I began reading stories of some of the celebrities I really liked. (Mainly Criss Angel, don’t judge me! :tehee: ) After that, I started writing it, instead of just reading it. Mainly because I could decide the fate of my characters. Not to mention deciding the situations to put them in.

3. What is your writing process? Do you have a specific place you like to write, music you listen to, etc.?

Sort of. I usually have this specific scene take place in my mind, kind of like a movie. After that, I tie all the loose ends together and start writing. I write whenever the time feels right. Which is usually everyday, but I don't have a specific place I write at. Most of the time though, it's at the kitchen table. I can't listen to music while I write, it's a distraction for me. But, I do listen to music before I write, to get myself in the mood for whatever is to take place in the scene I'm working on.

4. How much research goes into the stories? Time spent on the internet? Personal experience?

It really depends on the story. The majority of the stories I write are from personal experience. But, there are some stories I write that involve some things I'm a bit unfamiliar with. It usually takes about twenty minutes to look up what I need. I can always somehow connect with my characters, even if what they're going through I've personally never been through. I can still always connect with them on an emotional level. It’s weird.

5. What is the hardest/easiest part about writing?

The hardest part is sticking to it. I find myself growing insanely bored with what I've done and moving onto something new. The easiest part, is coming up with that something new. I have a wild imagination that never sleeps, making it extremely easy, yet extremely difficult.

6. Out of the stories you've written which is your favorite? Favorite character? Why?

My favorite story I've ever written is Revive. (Sadly, it's incomplete) It's my favorite story I've written because the idea came to me in a dream, and it was very different from anything I've seen or read. But, my favorite character I've written (so far) is Holly Foster, the main character from Life Goes On. I favor Holly because of how conservative and strong she is.

7. What do you think makes a good story?

Originality, writing style and character description. The idea of a story can be amazing, but it takes a brilliant writer to make that idea come to life. And it takes falling in love with the characters to make you feel an emotional connection with the story. Therefore, making that story good. Well, in my opinion if it has that formula, an amazing story.

8. Is there any story (or book) you wish you could have written? Why?

Shutter Island, by Dennis Lehane. He's such a brilliant writer-amazing. I wish I could’ve written Shutter Island because I could have chosen the person to direct the film. I would not have chosen Martin Scorssese. I love Martin Scorsesse but, Shutter Island was taken in a completely different direction than Dennis Lehane had written it to be. (I think, from what I got out of the book.) If I would've written the book, I would have placed the movie deal in Frank Darabont’s hands. Maybe then, the film would have been along the same lines as the book.

9. Do you have any writing tips?

Don’t be scared to break your own boundaries. Write outside your comfort zone. And don’t be scared of receiving some bad reviews.

10. Who's your pick to be the next author interviewed? (This person will actually be it.)

I’m sorry that I have to be so complicated but, there are too many brilliant writers on this site that I would love to read an interview from. There are two I have in mind but sadly, I can only choose one.
Hfrankz (Can’t wait to read your interview!)

From readers:

1. We all fell in love with Life Goes On and your original idea to post magazine scans. My question is: how did you come up with that idea and what are your inspirations for the story? - Hfrankz

Well, Robert Pattinson seemed to be eaten alive by the media really bad at one time. I thought: “what if Rob and Kristen Stewart were very public with their relationship?” And then I thought: “what would happen if they broke up after being so open; how would the media react then?” And that’s when I started writing fake magazine articles. I started breaking down those little things those cheap magazine articles do. Before I knew it, I had Life Goes On.

2. What inspires you to write Rob fanfiction and do you share your stories with your family/friends? - Nicole

A little bit of everything inspires me. It can be a movie, music or just a picture. I sort of share my stories with my family and friends. I share them with all of you. :luv: But in all honesty, besides the community family that is (sadly) no longer, no. They know I love writing and that I do it all the time but, they have no idea I do Rob fiction. Sometimes if it comes up, I’ll explain the premise of the story but, leave out some details, .

*9. What is the most important thing you have learned about writing that you would like to share with the other writers here? - m244robp

I actually learned this from Erin (MySweetMelody.) She told me to write at my own pace. I really think that’s the best thing I’ve learned so far about writing. That and, to not base my entire story on reviews/comments. I really need to take my own advice and not get discouraged from the lack of reviewers.

*10. How would you react if you actually had a chance to meet Rob? (this is a Rob-related site, right?) - m244robp

 , yes. I actually wouldn’t do anything. I wouldn’t go up to him and ask for an autograph or a picture. I wouldn’t offer to buy him a drink or anything either. (I’m not really sure why I just imaged Rob in a bar, :tehee: ) I would just act as though he were a total stranger. Because without the fame, that’s what he would be. And I don’t talk to strangers… unless I have to. "Stranger danger! Stranger danger!"

*11. What made you like Robert? Do you write Robert different then every one else? and what is you favorite Robert story that you didn't write? - queens_of_Pattinson

Good question! I actually hated Robert Pattinson because of how popular he was. After I watched Twilight I hated him even more. But then, I watched an interview with him and he was nothing like the character of Edward Cullen. (He wasn't a dick!) That’s when I actually started to really like him.
I’m not really sure if I write Robert Pattinson differently than everyone else. I’ve never really looked at it that way before. I actually try to think of what Robert would do in the situations I put him in as a character and see how it plays out.
There are so many amazing Rob fiction stories, it’s hard to chose just one. But so far, (hands down) it’s MySweetMelody’s story: Committed to Apathy. I find myself hanging on the edge of my seat after every chapter, wondering what’s going to happen next.

Last Words:

I feel completely unworthy to be the featured author for May. But, thank you so much Lacie, I love ya girl! Even though you’re no longer on this site. I have to add that it really blows. It’s lonely up in here.

Is there anything else you would like to say or share with us?

Time is linear-it’s thoroughly diverse as to what we perceive it as. Which means that it’s important to invest that time into something you truly believe in. But whatever you place all that trust into, be sure that’s it’s for good and not evil. Be smart about your choices and do what feels right.
