This month's featured author is sarahcini. She is the author of Feels Like Home and Vacation Getaway.
1. How did you get into fan fiction? Why Robert Pattinson fan fiction?
I really cannot remember. I think it was actually Christine with her story "Ready and Waiting to Fall." It was such an adorable story that led me to this site.
2. What made you decide to start writing fan fiction?
It was sheer curiousity. My first fic was a Jackson story titled "Feels Like Home." Complete rubbish, but in the end I quite liked it.
3. What is your writing process? Do you have a specific place you like to write, music you listen to, etc.?
I honestly have no writing process. It's just when and if I have the time. However, when I am writing I just do it. No outlining, no rough drafts..I just go for it. I cannot listen to music, however, when I write. Then I will lose focus.
4. How much research goes into the stories? Time spent on the internet? Personal experience?
Considering I have only written one complete fic. There wasn't really any researching going on. However, I will do research so that I can keep up whatever might be going on in the lead character's (Jackson's) life. Meaning if he is filming then he would be filming, or if he was touring he'd be touring.
5. What is the hardest/easiest part about writing?
I cannot say what the easiest part about writing is. I guess I would have to say the story's plot. The hardest part for me is writing about the relationships. Also, the hardest part of writing for me is just time. Teaching 8-10 hours a day takes a lot out of me, so the last thing I want to do is stare at a computer screen.
6. Out of the stories you've written which is your favorite? Favorite character? Why?
Well, I've only written one complete story sooooo I am going to have to say the one I am writing now called "Teachers's Pet: Hot for Teacher." I think I am going to love Sarah's and Jackson's relationship with this.
7. What do you think makes a good story?
An original plot. The time and effort it takes to create a story. I've read stories where everything just seems perfect and well thought out. I've read stories where it seems the author just rushes through without a care in the world, and those are stories that I have a hard time reading.
8. Is there any story (or book) you wish you could have written? Why?
Little Women. Hands down my favorite book in the entire world. I've read it so many times that I now have three copies. The reason I love this book is because I can relate to every character in the novel: Jo, Meg, Amy, Beth, and even Marmee.
9. Do you have any writing tips?
Writing tips? Um, just write how you feel. Write to write, and don't feel pressured.
10. Who's your pick to be the next author interviewed? (This person will actually be it.)
BabydollChainsaw ...I LOVE Lacie's work!!!!!
From readers:
1. Where do you find inspiration to write? Is it a certain song, line in a movie, a certain picture? - Lacie
My dear Lacie, I find inspiration from you, Summer, Laren, and Jax. Honestly, you girls are so brilliant, and you girls are the reason I want to try writing again.
2. What made you want to write about Robert Pattinson? - Jax
Well, I don't really write about Rob, lol. The brit is hot, but I prefer a certain monkey man.
3. Besides his fetching good looks, What is it about Robert Pattinson that captures your interest? personality, talent, so on? - Jax
Besides his good, dirty, Brit looks? Well, it's not his acting skills, but let's face it.........he sucks as an actor most times (well in the Saga he does). I like that he doesn't let his fame turn him into a douche bag. He seems like a humble guy. I love that he is musical as well. I wish he would just quite acting and focus more on his music.
4. Where do you usually find you ideas for stories? - Jax
I find my ideas from my life. Like my new fic right now, "Teacher's Pet." The character is a teacher like myself. Yes, I know her name in the fic is Sarah, but hey I like my name thank you.
5. If you could say anything to Robert Pattinson and know that he will hear it, what would it be? - Jax
Stop acting, and focus on your music.
6. Tell us about the original founding of the Smutkateers since they are some of the legends of RPF.... - Jax
Awwww our Smutkateers. I think it is pretty much self-explanatory. It was with me, Lon, and others who just adore the smutty-ness of a great story. We're dirty girls.....and I am proud of that fact. However, I'm more Plastic than Smutkateer now, hehe.
7. How long does it usually take you to write, edit and update a single chapter? - Jax
Some days it takes me but only a few days to update. Others a week or so. It isn't because nothing flows when I am wanting to update, but it's because I am so tired at the end of the day. Usually I will update once a week or so.
8. What would you do if you were to meet Jackson? - Jax
Ooooo Jax I met Jackson on December 30th! *SIGHS* Such a great experience! I was chill when I met him, and the rest of the 100 Monkeys. He is such a chill guy who is just VERY good looking in person, hehe. He is also just about the sweetest guy that I have ever met (with a wandering hand).
9. What is the most important thing you have learned about writing that you would like to share with the other writers here? - m244robp
Write the way YOU want to write. I've seen many, many comments from reviewers who have too much of an opinion.
10. How would you react if you actually had a chance to meet Rob? (this is a Rob-related site, right?) - m244robp
I'd be normal. I wouldn't gush about loving his movies, because that would be a lie. I would most likely just say, "Hey, good look with everything."
11. What made you like Robert? Do you write Robert different then every one else? and what is you favorite Robert story that you didn't write? - queens_of_pattinson
Rob is hot. I won't deny the fact that I like his hotness. But I like him because he's not an asshole. That he seems like a down to earth guy. I haven't really written a Rob fic. I've started one long ago, but I don't really remember how I wrote his character. I don't know if I can list ONE Rob story that I didn't write. But I've love the stories from Stacey, Summer, Laren, Lacie, Jax, and Laura. You girls are brilliant!
