Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've posted a message addressing you all.

First, I want to apologize, because I feel like I've been somewhat neglecting this site as a whole - between not reading like I used to, not keeping it updated as much as I'd like, and of course not writing (Swoozy would drop a *hint* here). God and life have taken me in some unexpected - and blessed - directions this year, and because of that I have not devoted time to RPF like I should.

I want to make a promise (we'll see if this happens, considering its 6 a.m. on a Saturday morning and I am wide awake), to spend at least an hour every week making improvements to this site. I know I can find an hour every week to do something to make this site a little better and more of a community.

So, what I want to know is, is there anything you'd like to see happen on this site? Like more writing challenges? More chats? What? Let me know, and I will do my best to make it happen! I also might need to put out the call for volunteers, so if you think you'd like to help out or take on a project on your own, let me know.

In the background, I may be working on upgrading the main part of this site to the latest version of Joomla, which means funny things could be happening. I also need to update the story board to the latest version of phpBB, but that scares me to no end - the thought of making this place explode. If or when I do update the story board, I will let you all know - because it could result in a power outage for a couple of days ...

Thank you all again for joining this site and participating. I can't believe we're at 1,450+ members in just two and a half years! It's crazy, but you all are what makes this site happen. I hope we can continue to grow and evolve.

2nd Annual Secret Santa Short Stories

As Christmas will be upon us in a few short weeks, it's time to sign up for the RPF 2nd Annual Secret Santa Short Stories.  As a gift to your fellow authors, you sign up to write a short story for someone, and someone else will write a short story for you! It's really quite simple.

Here are a few more guidelines:

1. Must be a short story (one-shot).
2. The story can be written in any person, but must involve both Rob and the person you are assigned.
3. Must follow the rating requested.
4. All stories are due on Sunday, January 1.  There will be a forum in the Fiction Challenges section for you to post your story on that day.  When you post yours, please use the format: "For [NAME]: [STORY TITLE]" in the subject.
5. Do not tell anyone you're who you're writing a story for.

If this is something you are interested in doing, please PM Christine on the story board or leave a comment below, including story rating(s) (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17) you would like to read and are willing to write, no later than Friday, December 9.  You will be notified sometime on Sunday, December 11 who you will be writing a story for and the rating.

Do not commit to this if you cannot ensure that you will have a story to post on January 1.  It is not fair to the person you will be assigned if they do not have a story to read.

If you have any further questions do not hesitate to ask!  We'll be looking forward to seeing what you all can come up with!

Everyday (we'll try anyway) and prompt will be posted. This could be a picture, quote, lyrics, banners. And the goal is to write something, anything really that you come up with that relates to the prompt. It's supposed to be 500 words.

It's just a writing exercises, no competition. Just fun.

It can involve anyone, Rob, Twilight related, Non-Rob related aka Tom, Bobby, Sam, etc.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions they can PM sassy spacey on the story board.
